Registration FEES

The registration is open up to Friday the 1st August 2014.
In order to complete your subscription, do not forget to pay the registration fee. Please note that the bank transfer IBAN indicated here below has to be used ONLY FOR THE REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT.

The workshop registration fee is 100 Euro for:

university researchers and assistants,

temporary research fellow,

professors,

freelance professionals,

public and private companies employees.

For students the workshop registration is FREE OF CHARGE (eventually social dinner and excursion should be paid). Please send to the Workshop Organizing Committee at ecsac@ictp.it a letter (.pdf file) signed by your tutor or reference professor attesting your "student" status.

For invited speakers the workshop registration is FREE OF CHARGE (eventually excursion should be paid).

Accomodation in Vitality Punta Hotel

In the registration form indicate if you will arrange  your accomodation your own or if you want that the Conference Organization makes the booking for you (and eventual accompanying persons) in the agreed Vitality Hotel Punta  (http://vitality.losinj-hotels.com/hr) [You will pay your hotel bill by your own during your stay hotel].

HOTEL COSTS (price is per person per day)

• 109,5 euro for a SINGLE ROOM (or double room with SINGLE USE according to hotel availability)
•   78,0 euro for a DOUBLE ROOM

In the registration for there is the possibility to book 1 or more rooms (double / single) for family or groups (please indicate names of accompanying adults and children).
There is also the possibility to share a double room with another conference partecipant, already known or not (you can have the so called "hotel blind room sharing").

The stated prices include:

• half board service (breakfast and dinner with a free drink).
• Welcome drink
• Usage of the swimming pools
• Spa & Relax Zone (subject to current availability)
• Internet Connection.

Hotel registration tax: 7,00 Kune/person upon arrival.
Occupancy tax: 7,00 Kune/person/day.

Check-in is at 14:00 hrs. Check-out is at 11:00 hr

Full board is available at an extra cost of €12 per person per day.

Abstract Submission

For speakers, a short PDF file with the abstract of your contribution must be upload from registration page form.
Please indicate there the author(s) and the presenter names and affiliations.
The text of the abstract can have a maximum size of 20 lines, about 1700 characters.

Invited Speakers

For invited speakers the conference Oragnizing Committee provides you free registration, social dinner, half board accommodation during the workshop (24-28 August) in a SINGLE USE of a DOUBLE ROOM in the Vitality Hotel Punta (http://vitality.losinj-hotels.com/hr) and the bus travel service from Trieste to Losinj and return.

Organized BUS trips

There is an organized transportation Trieste - Veli Lošinj round trip free of charge for both speakers/workshop participants and eventual accompanying persons.
The connections from Trieste to Lošinj Island and back is organized by bus (almost 5 h each way), with departure from Trieste airport on Sunday August 24th (at 12.30) and return on Thursday August 28th (at  07.00 AM).  The bus round trip is GUARANTEE ONLY FOR ON-LINE REGISTRATED PEOPLE who have checked in the application form the intention to travel with our bus service. Interested people will be contacted by the Organizing Committee and will have mobile phone numbers of reference persons (Bruno Della Vedova;  Serena Baldini, Aurélie Cimolino).

Travelling in different time schedules on your own using public transportation is possible, but it might take quite longer times (see How to reach Lošinj Is. on the ECSAC website). Please include your questions, needs and comments in the appropriate box on the registration form.

TIME SCHEDULE on SUNDAY 24.08.14

The bus will show a BOARD or information POSTER with a similar indication as following "ECSAC GEOTHERMAL WORKSHOP IN LOSINJ".  

AIRPORT	TRIESTE – RONCHI DEI LEGIONARI
12.30	BUS waiting outside of the arrival gateway AT BUS STOP
13.00	The bus will leave from airport at the latest at 13.00 (earlier if ALL people will get in the bus before that time)

STATION	TRIESTE City – BUS STATION (not Railway Central Station)
13.30	BUS waiting at the BUS STATION
14.00	The bus will leave from station (earlier if ALL people will get in the bus before that time)

  
The bus will  travel to Brestova (Istria coast) and board on a ferry to Porozine on Cres Island (15:45 – 16:15). Once landed, the bus will travel till Losinj Island.  The arrival time is expected to be at 18:30 in HOTEL PUNTA. 

TIME SCHEDULE on THURSDAY 28.08.14

The bus will leave from outside of the reception of the Vitality Punta Hotel at the latest at 07.15 AM (earlier if ALL people will get in the bus before that time). The hotel will provide for its guest breakfast baskets.
For the return, the trip will change and the bus will have a stop at Rijeka airport on Krk Island and then travel till Trieste City and Trieste airport, where the arrival time is expected to be at 13:00.

Excursion on Tuesday 26th

Considering workshop time schedule and participants travel times, the excursion will take place on ILOVIK ISLAND from 13.30 to 17.30 (total duration about 4 hours).  

On Tuesday morning the conference morning will conclude at 13.00.  The time of boat departure from Veli Lošinj will be approximately at 13.30 - 13.45. Excursion participants will have a light lunch on board during the travel till island (it will take about 1 hour), then there will be about 2 hours free on island and, finally, 1 hour to come back Veli Lošinj (at 17.00 - 17.30). In case of rain some different excursion will be proposed.

The cost of the excursion is included in the conference fee for the workshop paying participants whilst for students and accompanying persons the excursions will cost approximately  € 30.

Social dinner on Tuesday 26th

The social dinner will take  place during the workshop at the SEA-TERRACE RESTAURANT of the Vitality Hotel Punta (about at 20.15).  For the workshop paying participants the cost of the dinner is included in the conference fee while for students and accompanying persons the dinner costs approximately € 30 per person.

Different menu are possible (meat, fish, vegeratian); other details about the workshop dinner are given at the conference.
